Eurofins

The two current buildings of Eurofins in Leiden will be merged into this new building in Nieuw Rhijngeest-Zuid
Eurofins is the global market leader in the TIC market (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) and conducts analytical research for third parties in various markets. In Leiden, this company currently operates at two locations, focusing on testing pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. These locations will be merged into this new building, which offers ample space for future growth

Location

Laboratories and offices

The locations on Archimedesweg and Darwinweg have become too cramped due to the growth Eurofins has experienced in recent years. With further growth expected in the coming years, it was time for a new, larger building.

This new building offers more breathing room with a net floor area of 10,000 square meters spread over five floors, with a quarter of the space reserved for expansion. In addition to laboratories, the building will also house offices and a large parking garage. Solar panels will be installed on the roof.

The design emphasizes an efficient layout with large open spaces and minimal corridors and obstacles like columns. This design ensures a high degree of flexibility, making the building future-proof

Inspiring building

Furthermore, the aim is to create an inspiring building for the 500 employees, while also integrating it well with the surroundings by focusing on biodiversity and utilizing the different sides of the building. On the second floor, the heart of the building is located in the form of a restaurant and meeting center. This is the place where employees meet, whether during lunch, in a business meeting, or for informal discussions. The restaurant extends into the rooftop terrace, where one can enjoy lunch or meetings outdoors, surrounded by greenery
