Nexus

A European head office for Cellares
An open and transparent design, focused on the development of cell therapies.

Location

Information

Construction of Nexus began in early 2024 in the Oegstgeest section of the Leiden Bio Science Park. It was originally planned as a multi-tenant building. A contract has since been signed with Cellares, a U.S.-based developer of cell therapies, which will establish its European headquarters there. With this new location, the company aims to strengthen its international manufacturing capacity and technological infrastructure, and to provide European drug developers with access to automated production infrastructure.

Nexus' architecture is open and transparent, with plenty of incoming daylight and open spaces. A spacious atrium with lots of greenery serves as the beating heart of the building. The smaller corners in this central part give opportunity for meetings or collaboration. Directly adjacent to the atrium are facilities such as a restaurant and meeting rooms.

The floors can be rented out multi-tenant from 2,000 square meters.

Zero emission

Remarkably, the construction of Nexus is entirely zero-emission due to the use of three large batteries instead of diesel generators. Read more about this in the article
